Issues
- At times the patcher may not work, just re-run the patcher and try again. To skip the patcher run eqgame.exe patchme
- The patcher runs extremely slow compared to running under Windows. Actual gameplay runs at normal speed.
- When using nVidia drivers 1.0.6106 and later, occasionally PC/NPC models will not display. To solve this, enable vertex shaders in the config.
- When using ATI Proprietary Linux Driver 3.14.6, you may need to disable ARB_VBO (Accelerated Vertex Buffers) to prevent the game from crashing on the character select screen. [Tested with Mandrake 10.1 & ATI Radeon 9600]
- In order to run the game under 64-bit Kubuntu (and very likely 64-bit Ubuntu, and possibly other distros), you must disable "Freetype and XRender" within the settings of your shortcut properties. This is not necessary when running the 32-bit build of Kubuntu. This is also not the default setting in the game database at this time, so you MUST do it manually.
