Issues
- Crashes back to the desktop after playing the intro movie. Changing the settings in the manager don't help.
- In Wine, the game usually runs extremely slow. However, when run with a glide->OpenGL wrapper in effect, the game is playable. To use: (taken from the appdb page)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\DMA Design Ltd\GTA2\Screen] "bit_depth"=dword:00000020 "curr_dll_id"=dword:00000002 "device"=dword:00000002 "max_frame_rate"=dword:00000001 "min_frame_rate"=dword:00000000 "renderdevice"=dword:00000000 "rendername"="3dfx.dll" "special_recognition"=dword:00000000 "start_mode"=dword:00000001 "tripple_buffer"=dword:00000000 "videodevice"=dword:00000001 "videoname"="dmaglide.dll"
- With the Glide wrapper enabled, the game is perfectly playable, though the main menu does not display properly.
