Known Issues
- Distributions such as SuSE 8.2 and Debian Unstable use a version of pthreads which only allows for a 2 megabyte per thread stack size. Most games do not require more than 2 megabytes per thread, however some games such as Metal of Honor: Allied Assault do require more than 2 megabytes and will not work. There is no work around for the currently available WineX versions as of this writing. (3.0 and 3.1) A fix is presently under testing and is planned to be available in all future releases of WineX.
You can see if your distribution has this issue by running the "Test if POSIX Threads (pthreads) Are Required" test in the "System Tests" tab in Point2Play.
Should you wish to fix this issue with your distribution you will have to recompile Glibc with a greater default stack size; this is not for the faint of heart and will not be supported by TransGaming.
- On some SuSE 8.2 systems it has been observed that Point2Play is starting up with an incorrect background colour (it should be green). This will not affect the functionality or usability of Point2Play.
