Issues
- Installer crashes when trying to install the video codec for the cutscenes. This is non-fatal however, and the installer does continue after the crash. Because of this, cutscenes don't play. This is not a big problem, since there are only two cutscenes in the entire game (one at the start, one at the end).
- To work around a menu animation glitch, turn off Accelerated Interprocess Communication and switch on Decrease WineServer Priority.
- Graphical performance is much better in Cedega-4.1 and higher.
Description
You're a lone soldier in a future world. At the start of the game, you can choose your way of "education", which means where your special abilities are (e.g. more psi abilities than fighting ones). A final decision is what service you join.
Now you're in a spaceship and your job is to find out what strange things happened to the crew, who are mostly missing or dead. You meet a lot of strange creatures, like zombies and mad apes. You can use a special psi device to make use of your abilities - e.g. you're able to pull levers from a distance or hurt your enemies. You can upgrade your character to gain access to e.g. higher hacking abilities.
The game has a very uncanny atmosphere, and is considered to be one of the scariest games ever made.
