Naming

I'm almost certain that the name of this game is just "Jedi Knight", that it shouldn't be preceded by "Star Wars".

Yeah, the game installed as Mysteries of the Sith. So I just added it under that name.

The official name as used on their webpage is "Star Wars: Jedi Knight Mysteries of the Sith", and that is also what my official CD cover says. Can upload a scan if you want. Don't care what they install it under :-P

(They probably shortened it because they fully knew that Windows 9x has a hard limit on the path of 127 chars or so and can't contain a ':' in it, anyway :)

I guess the question is, do we want to have all of the Star Wars games prefaced with "Star Wars" or not. Looking at the games, they ALL have "Star Wars" in front ot the title, but I personally don't consider that to be part of the title. If nothing else, we should be consistant - either drop the 'Star Wars' here, or rename X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Knight of the Old Republic, etc, so that they too all start with "Star Wars:".

Um. Help? I'm only able to make this work when I set engine to 3.2.1 and sound to OSS, and even then without any 3d acceleration at all. Copy-installing direct3d 5 files only made a difference for the system checker, not the launcher or the game.
