Gnome-terminal or not

What about the people that don't have gnome-terminal? ;-)

I was thinking about this. Right now Ubuntu is a Gnome 2.8 distro and Gnome is only supported at this point. So gnome-terminal will be installed by default on an Ubuntu machice. Debian should probably be updated with 'xterm' as well as it will more than likely be installed on any Debian machine with X installed.

Right right, well, wouldn't it be easier to just say open a terminal? Not everyone has a gnome-terminal or uses xterm. =)

I basically just copied and pasted the Suse page done by Tels and modified it to fit Debian/Ubuntu for the package installations. On the Suse page 'konsole' was used. I am not sure what the menu entries are in Suse for konsole, but under Debian/Ubuntu the menu entries for gnome-terminal are 'Terminal'. I think it would be good to change them both to 'open a terminal'.

For some reason which still eludes me, my distro of warty did not come with the nvidia drivers preinstalled. I read this page and did the steps word for word and thus broke my x config as the drivers weren't there. I had to perform the steps on the "driver howto" link first, which involved a simple apt-get of nvidia. I think this step should be included on this page as it would have saved me a lot of trouble. Any ideas? I will add a couple steps if there are no objections.
